Problem for about a week, then it came back again! The issue may be associated with Windows Update but I am not sure. I tried creating a new profile which fixed the I spoke to Canon Tech Support and after an hour during which we tested various things I was told the the problem was with Windows and I should contact Microsoft. I have had the same problem with Win 7 64. I upgraded to Win 7 64 and the interface software stopped working - "MP Navigator EX has stopped working". Canon scanner Lide 200 worked fine in Vista 64.
